Jimmy Mitchell Owner of J Mitchell’s Spices & Sauces LLC Native of Columbus, Ohio and graduate of Columbus East High School. Jimmy is married to Yvette of 42 years with 4 kids. He is a published author, and started several successful small businesses. Chef Jimmy has worked in the culinary field for over 35 years, from having his own restaurant & catering business to working in hotels & hospitals & care facili-ties. He is driven by passion for culinary expertise in order to grow an audience of satisfied customers. He loves being a resource to others that are starting small businesses. His current business: J Mitchell’s Spices & Sauces LLC, established April 0f 2018 is growing and becoming a household name. He created and perfected several spices and sauces that encompass enough flavors to enhance a myriad of traditional recipes. The diversity in J Mitchell’s unique combinations allows each spice and sauce to transition any dish into a truly exceptional dining experience. He has 6 products on the market, 4 spices & 2 sauces. All products are his orig-inal recipes. You can find his products in grocery stores, restaurants, sporting stores & many homes. With demands in Hawaii, Texas & Minnesota. And currently supplying the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium with one his Spice Blend. Michael Bowers
Michael Bowers is a Business Advisor and Director for the Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Columbus State Community College. The primary focus of the SBDC is to support prospective and existing entrepreneurs as they seek to start and grow businesses in Central Ohio.
Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance from the University of North Alabama and a Master’s in Public Administration from The Ohio State University. Michael is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Public Administration from Liberty University.
Michael has worked with entrepreneurs and small business owners for over 30 years, 20 of which have been in Columbus leading the SBDC. He has a diverse business skill set with experience in banking, private equity, strategic planning, leadership and public sector management.
